What Makes Iago Evil?
For some reason this quote from Didion’s Play it as it Lays reminds me of my roommate. Could it be that he rehearsed one of Iago’s monologues in a Shakespeare class with him…?
Yeah. That’s probably it, actually.
Nonetheless, I am reading this fantastic novel right now. I can’t help loving Maria in the same sense that I loved Patty Berglund. What makes Iago so evil? The fact that it took so long to realize that the man was evil. How quick are we ever to use the E word on an unsuspecting woman.
